Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel recognizes that the passing of a loved one brings about tremendous loss and grief. At times, feelings of loss can be overwhelming, and the opportunity to be able to talk with others who are also undergoing similar experiences is beneficial. Gary W. Goran We at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel and Crematorium are pleased to continue to support people who are journeying with loss. We encourage families or friends who are coping with grief to contact us and make arrangements to speak with Gary W. Goran. Gary is a retired minister who is available to facilitate life celebration services (religious or non-religious) or grief counselling. Gary will also contact all families who have had services at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, approximately one month after the service to extend care and support. Lynett Getz, RSW In order to help support and assist those who are on a Journey of Grief, Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel will be offering a drop-in Grief Share Group, starting November 16th from 10:30 – 12 noon at the Saamis Creekside Center. Please call 403-528-2599 for more information. This group is facilitated by Lynett Getz RSW, is ongoing, and is open to all. As well as offering the drop-in support group, more in depth and intensive workshop and support groups will be offered, such as a 12-week Suicide Support group and a 12 week “Understanding Your Grief Support Group” in 2017.
