Saamis Memorial Christmas Legacy Angel Tree

For many families, Christmas is a time of family celebration. It is also a time to cherish the memories of a loved one who has passed away. To help families accomplish this, Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, Crematorium and Reception Centre annually offers a beautiful Holiday tribute. Each year, Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel dedicates a Christmas tree in its facility to the memory of those who have passed away in the Medicine Hat area.

 

Families who have lost a loved one in the previous year, regardless of where the funeral arrangements were made, are welcome to come in and select an angel ornament which has been placed on the Saamis Memorial Christmas Tree in memory of their loved ones. Local resident, Antonio Armstrong creates each exquisite angel individually. He is proudly carrying on this tradition started by his parents.

 

A complete listing of individuals who have passed away between November 1st, 2016 and October 31st, 2017 will also appear in the Medicine Hat News.  We will be holding a Community Christmas Memorial Service on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in our Chapel.  To obtain your family's angel, you are invited to attend the service and receive it there, or simply bring this letter to our Chapel on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., have a visit, and receive your angel.  However, angels are available during office hours until January 4th, 2017.

 

Additional angels can be purchased and all proceeds will be donated to the Medicine Hat Santa Claus Fund. Last year the angels raised over $3545.00 which was donated to this year’s Santa Claus Fund.
