Fred was born on November 13, 1928 on the family farm and passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 8, 2017. He was the second of five children born to William and Rosa Syroiszka. He went to school in Gascoigne, Saskatchewan to grade 8 then eventually took over the family farm. In his lifetime he also worked on the seismic, painting and stippling. Hunting, fishing and camping were always his passion. He was always compassionate to all animals and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He is survived by his wife Ann, his loving wife of 50 years; his daughters, Coreen (James) Bozak of Medicine Hat, AB and Carrie (David) Beaudoin of Hanna, AB; and two granddaughters, Jaycee and Delane Beaudoin; his sisters, Mary Sedun and Olga Hominuk, both of Winnipeg, MB, Ann Zubot of Medicine Hat, AB and Sophia Long of Ottawa, ON; sisters-in-law, Veronica Dirk and Josephine Koch, both of Medicine Hat, AB; brother-in-law, George Hauck of Medicine Hat, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
