Victor Harold Abraham Rempel, beloved husband of Laura Rempel of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Victor also leaves to cherish his memory one son, Kelly Rempel of Medicine Hat; three daughters, Yvonne Rempel (Robert Reeves) of Grande Cache, Nyree Rempel of Red Deer and Kaitlin Rempel of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Emma, Kate, Amy and Lily; seven brothers, Walter (Gladys) Rempel, Reuben (Beth) Rempel, Neil (Faye) Rempel, Len (Cheri) Rempel, Ken (Carol) Rempel, Arnie (Freida) Rempel and Bob (Janine) Rempel; five sisters, Hilda Beisel, Marge Weins, Minnie Rempel, Lorraine (Garth) Taylor and Elsie (Jerry) Holderbein; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his parents, John and Helena Rempel; and one sister, Betty Lagler. Victor was born raised and educated in Rhineland, Saskatchewan. Upon leaving school he started in construction at the age of 16 years. He resided in Swift Current until 1974 when he moved his family to Medicine Hat and began a 39-year career with South Rock Ltd., retiring in 2014. His retirement was short lived and a year later began his employment with Smith Group out of Brooks, until his sudden passing. Vic really enjoyed hockey, especially the Tigers and most conversations at home revolved around hockey and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Vic will be remembered for his dedication and loyalty towards his employers. He will be sadly missed by his large family and many friends.
